Desmontaje del TVIX - Disassembly of the TVIX

TANTO LA IDEA ORIGINAL DE LA REPARACIÓN COMO ESTA TRADUCCIÓN HAN SIDO REALIZADAS POR NUESTRO AMIGO OGI. YO SOLO HE CONTINUADO SU TRABAJO.

Para hacer esto solo hay que seguir estas sencillas instrucciones.... Empezamos

To do this just follow these simple instructions .... Let´s get started

Estas son las herramientas "especiales " que se precisan para desmontar el TVIX : Un destornillador de punta Phililps (de estrella), unas pinzas y una espátula cuando más grande mejor, para no dejar marcas y no "perder la garantía", también se puede usar una tarjeta de crédito . No he querido quitar los plásticos protectores para no dañar ñla pantalla . Sia lguna foto no se ve muy bien espero que seais comprensivos conmigo.

These are the "special" tools required to open the TVIX: A Philips screwdriver, tweezers and a spatula, the bigger the better, in order not leave marks and not "lose the guarantee", you can also use a credit card. I did not want to remove the protective plastic just in case I had to return the unit, so if any photo is not very clear I hope you are comprehensive with me.

Continuamos : Let´s continue:

Primero quitamos la tapa, para poder acceder al compartimento del Disco Duro y posteriormente a todos los componentes.

First remove the cover to access the hard disk compartment and subsequently to all components.

Quitamos las conexiones de alimentación y datos que van al disco duro. El cable de datos es el rojo y el otro conector es el de alimentación

Remove the power and data connections of the hard drive. The data cable is red and the other one is the power connector.

Presionando la leva de liberación, en forma de botón, extraemos con suavidad el Disco duro tirando de la palanca preparada para ello.

Pressing the release button, gently remove the hard drive by pulling by the provided lever.

Quitamos el tornillo de la imagen antes que cualquier otro . Lo indico porque es muy importante que este tornillo esté quitado, ya que es la clave para poder liberar el frontal y continuar. Después quitamos el otro.

Remove the screw shown of the image before any other. I remark this because it is very important that this screw is removed, since it is the key to unlock the front and continue. Then remove the other one.

Fijarse bien en la foto: Introducimos el borde de la espátula en la carcasa inferior y hacemos una ligera palanca con el borde del frontal, pero muy suavemente hasta que veamos que se libera la parte inferior de la carcasa y lo dejamos como está en la foto, sin quitar. Le damos la vuelta

Look carefully at the picture: Insert the edge of the spatula into the lower case and push gently until it is released , and leave it as is on picture without removal. Turn the unit upside-down.

Ahora introducimos la espátula por la parte superior de la carcasa del TVIX y del mismo modo hacemos una suave palanca hasta que quede liberada esta parte. Siempre con suavidad. Sale muy fácil.

Now insert the spatula into the top case the same way, pull gently until it is released. Always smoothly. Comes out very easy.

Como ya están liberadas las dos tapas , la inferior y la superior, solo tenemos que liberar los dos enganches ,que no se ven pero que están en el extremo que correponde a la pantalla VFD . Para liberarlas deslizar ¡MUY! suavemente siguiendo la dirección de la imagen y ya está fuera.

As both covers are already released, the lower and the top, we just have to release the two latches,which are not visible, but are in the end that corresponds to the VFD. To release slide VERY! gently in the direction of the image and it is out.

Bueno, ya hemos llegado hasta aquí ¡Increible! ¿no? ; pues sí a mi también me lo parecía. Ya tenemos lo más complicado quitado. Ahora hay que tener mucho cuidadito con esta cinta, se puede quitar de la parte del frontal o de la placa, aunque yo recomiendo hacerlo desde la parte de la placa. Ahora lo explico.

Well, here we are already. Incredible! Huh? ; Yes that is what it seemed to me. We have removed the most complicated part. Now you must be very carefully with this ribbon, it can be removed either from the VFD or from the mother board, but I recommend doing so from the mobo. Now I explain myself.

Quitamos la carcasa inferior , sin más explicación ¡Ah! se llama inferior porque cuando está en su posición normal es la que está debajo. ¡No os riáis! . Por si alguien se perdió el capítulo de Barrio Sésamo.

Remove the lower shell, without further explanation. Oh by the way! It is called lower shell because in the normal position it will be in the bottom. Do not laught! Just in case someone missed that chapter of Sesame Street.

Ahora quitamos los cuatro tornillos de esta carcasa. Esta carcasa es el soporte del disco duro por su parte superior y por la parte inferior contiene la fuente de alimentación. Atrás del todo "mi perro" en su rincón favorito. Como que no se puede tener secretos

Now remove the four screws on the casing. This case holds the hard drive on the upper side, and the the power supply on the lower side. All the way back my dog in his favourite corner. No secrets here.

Ahora si. Aquí vemos el conector que alimenta el módulo de proceso. Este conector está un poco duro y algo complicado de quitar. Presionar la pestaña de liberación del conector con una mano y con la otra apoyarse en la placa que señalo con el dedo y tirar fuerte . ¡No tirar de los cables!

Now. Here you can see the connector that powers the mobo. This connector is a bit tricky and hard to remove. Press the release tab on the connector with one hand and pull with the other, applying pressure in the spot I point . Do not pull the cables!

Ahora con la pinza, sacamos un poco los dos tetones de los extremos del conector para liberar la presión de la cinta. No tirar muy fuerte para que no se salga del todo. Mucho cuidadito.

Now with the tweezers, pull a little both clips at the ends of the connector to release the pressure of the ribbon.Do not pull very hard so it does not come out completely.

Una vez liberada la presión de la cinta , podemos sacarla con la pinza ejerciendo una muy leve presión sobre ella, a fin de no dañar los hilos conductores.

Once released the pressure of the ribbon, we can remove it with tweezers with a very slight pressure to avoid damaging the ribbon wires.

Ya tenemos casi todo quitado. La placa inferior o módulo de proceso se quita muy fácil , solo hay que quitar los catro tornillos negros que sujetan el conector de conexiones externas por la parte de atrás del TVIX y el conector del ventilador. Una vez hecho ya tenemos la caja completamente vacía.

We have removed almost everything so far. The bottom board or mobo is very easy to remove, just remove the four black screws that hold the external connections panel on the back of the TVIX and the fan plug. Once done, we have the case completely empty.
